Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Veggie Patch is provided by Endless Pattern ("we" or "us"). This policy covers the app, this website and messages you send us.
Your app data stays under your control
The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking. We do not receive, sell or share your saved lists, climate preferences or location.
List names, saved plant IDs, list creation/update dates and climate preferences are stored in the app's local storage on your device. They are used to show your lists and planting recommendations. There is no developer-operated server or cloud sync for this data.
Location is optional
If you choose Use Current Location and grant iOS permission, the app uses the location supplied by iOS, which may be precise, to estimate your Australian climate zone on your device. In automatic mode, it can refresh this estimate when you open or return to the app. It does not track you in the background.
The app uses coordinates temporarily, without saving a location history or sending them to us. You must confirm an estimate before it is used for recommendations. You can choose a zone manually instead, and revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Veggie Patch.
Keeping and deleting data
Local lists and preferences remain until you change or delete them, or delete the app. You can remove plants and delete lists within the app. To remove all local app data, use Delete App in iOS Settings, not Offload App.
Depending on your settings, iOS may include app data in device or iCloud backups. Deleting the app does not delete existing backups; manage those separately through Apple or your computer. We cannot access or restore your local lists or backups.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to send. We use this only to answer and resolve your request, and keep it only for as long as needed for that purpose or as required by law. Our email provider processes messages to deliver this service. You can request access, correction or deletion by emailing hello@veggiepatchapp.com. Please do not send sensitive information.
This website and other services
This website uses no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies or contact forms added by us. Cloudflare hosts the site and processes technical request information, such as your IP address, to deliver and secure it. Its handling and retention are described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Apple provides the App Store, system location services and optional device backups under Apple's privacy policy. These services are separate from the app's local storage. Following an external link is subject to the destination's privacy policy.
